Creative production at scale for a high-volume consumer brand

The engagement

A consumer brand ran a high volume of creative work: campaigns, social content, design, and localized and resized assets across channels. Its existing production arrangement was winding down, and the model underneath it, billed by the hour, made budgets hard to predict and left room for scope to creep. The brand’s marketing team could brief and direct the work, but needed a production engine that could move at the volume and pace the business ran at, hold brand consistency across every asset, and turn urgent requests around in hours, not days. Standing up an in-house studio was not the answer. Neither was a loose roster of freelancers.

What CVA did

This was a partnership, designed and stood up together. We worked alongside an established production partner, each bringing what we do best, to give the brand a production capability that runs like an extension of its own team.

The partner brought the production engine: a structured, asset-based system that prices work by the asset rather than the hour, with net-new creation, adaptation and resizing, and versioning and localization each run in the mode that fits, plus the studio teams, the creative and technical quality control, the shared dashboards, and AI applied inside the brand’s own approved tools and governance. We brought the advisory side: shaping the operating model and the commercial structure, designing the move off the prior arrangement, and building the standards and governance that keep production aligned to the brand as volume grows. Together we sized the teams and the coverage to the brand’s rhythm, so its busiest mornings started with work already in motion rather than waiting in a queue.

The model worked because neither half stands alone. A production engine without governance drifts from the brand. Advice without a production engine behind it stays on the page. Together they gave the brand a single operating relationship instead of a vendor at arm’s length.

What changed

Through the partnership, the brand gets studio-scale creative production as an extension of its own team. First-pass approvals rose and revision cycles fell, turnaround held even as volume grew, and brand consistency stayed intact because the standards and quality checks were built into the workflow from the start. Brand direction stays with the brand. The production partner runs the work. CVA holds the operating model and governance that keep the two in sync. As the brand’s needs grow, the model grows with them.
